Brewster's Red Hotel: Amenities

Lanesboro is home to the spectacular Root River State Trail, featuring 60 miles of paved surface meandering amid towering bluffs and the scenic Root River. And the Red Hotel is just across the street from the trail!

Thousands of cyclists, roller bladers, runners, walkers, and hikers flock to the trail to experience what nature has to offer.

A 400-foot section of the Root River Trail between Lanesboro and Whalan has been rebuilt after being washed away during a flood in August 2007. The repaired section is just west of the confluence between the Root River and the Root River South Branch.
